Oleg Kuvshinnikov paid a working visit to the District of Gryazovets.

The Vologda Oblast Governor met with the head of the local district administration, held a meeting of the Coordination Council on development of investment potential of the district and answered the questions of the district’s inhabitants.
During the session of the Coordination Council, the participants discussed implementation of investment projects of Gryazovets District. The area several sites that can be used for implementation of a number of large projects - for construction of a brick plant and petrol stations, fish breeding, and construction of larger farms.
The economy of the District of Gryazovets is based on diverse natural resources. District of Gryazovets is a vast wooded area with some 74% of its total land area covered by forests. In the branch structure of industry, timber and food industries take a dominating position. The district of Gryazovets is one of the largest producers of farm commodities and agricultural goods in the oblast. Dairy - farming and cattle - breeding are clearly expressed specializations of the district. Farmers of Gryazovets are very competitive and adapt their activities in line with changing market needs. There is a growing demand for the district's products which are biologically sound and additive - free.
The visit of Oleg Kuvshinnikov to the District of Gryazovets wound up with a meeting with the population of the district. The residents brought up the questions concerning the quality of road network, the limited number of medical doctors and organization of youth leisure. For example, the members of the Vokhtoga administration reported that they need a new fitness complex and asked the Governor how to join in the Federal program.
