New Year celebrations in Vologda will be shown in the Internet.

The honour to become New Year’s Capital fell upon Vologda this year. Vologda’s authorities have planned a number of major festive actions and events not only in Vologda, but also in Veliky Ustyug, the hometown of Ded Moroz, Russia’s equivalent of Santa Claus. The celebrations will take place from December 28, 2013 through January 8, 2014.
New Year will be celebrated at evening social gatherings, where many people, Vologda’s residents and guests to the city will dance, watch and light fireworks to mark the New Year.
