Meeting with Governor’s Investment Council members on February 7.

Oleg Kuvshinnikov held a meeting with Governor’s Investment Council members to discuss implementation of priority investment projects.
Participants of the meeting discussed the issue of reducing the administrative barriers in small- and medium-sized businesses. The administrative barriers faced by entrepreneurs include those encountered when starting a new enterprise or operating an already existing one.
The governor emphasized that one of the main objectives of the Investment Council is to make recommendations for assigning a status of priority investment projects with the state support in the form of tax exemptions.
The discussion of the investment climate improvement in the region continued with consideration of priority projects applying for state support measures.
At the meeting two projects (an enterprise related to salmon farming and creation of high-tech production of birch plywood and laminated chipboard) were recommended to be included in the list of priorities for obtaining tax benefits in the Vologda Oblast.
