Governor Mr.Kuvshinnikov paid a visit to the District of Chagoda.

On January 30th Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov paid a working visit to the District of Chagoda as part of a series of visits throughout the Vologda Oblast examining economic and social development of regions.
The District of Chagoda is located in the most western corner of the Vologda Oblast. The district shares borders with the Leningrad Oblast in the north - west, the Novgorod Region in the south - west, district of Babaevo to the north - east and Ustyuzhna to the east.
The main objective of the visit was to inspect economic and social development of the district, the most important infrastructure facilities of the district and to get acquainted with the plans for their development.
To begin with, the Governor met with the head of the District of Chagoda and inspected the roads of the district. Then Mr. Kuvshinnikov proceeded to a local hospital, a school, a sports centre and a cultural centre.
The program of the visit also included participation in a meeting of the City Planning Council and a meeting with the residents of the district.
