Days of the Vologda Region in China came to a close.

Trade, economic, tourism and cultural potential of the Vologda Region was presented in the People's Republic of China for the first time ever. The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China.
The Days of the Vologda Region in the People's Republic of China took place on November 18-22.
Events with the participation of representatives of the Vologda Region Government and business circles were held in three cities of the People's Republic of China - Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. The business program included plenary sessions, meetings and B2B sales negotiations with Chinese business leaders.
About 10 agreements on bilateral cooperation with China were signed. They are aimed at the development of economically important industries for the region - agriculture, forestry, trade, tourism, education and science.
Within the framework of the agreements, Vologda's ice cream, milk powder, confectionery, gas equipment and forestry products will be supplied to China. It is planned to open a container terminal in Vologda, which will facilitate goods transportation directly to China.
In partnership with Chinese investors, an elevator equipment plant will be built in the Vologda Special Economic zone. The investments for the implementation of this project will total about USD 10 million.
The participants of the cultural program of the Vologda Region Days in China got acquainted with Russian Ded Moroz, lace masterpieces of Vologda's craftsmen, attended concerts of the Russian folklore groups and tasted Vologda's food products.
