Association "Russian Province" invites municipalities of Vologda Region to cooperation.

Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov met with Chairman of the board of the association, Federation Council member Sergei Rybakov.
The Association "Russian Province" aims to preserve historical and cultural heritage of small towns and villages, to promote socio-economic and cultural development of municipalities.
Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov noted that the region is interested in implementing projects in cooperation with the Federation Council promoting the culture of the Russian North.
On the territory of Vologda Region there are more than 3.5 thousand unique objects of historical and cultural heritage, 750 of which are under state protection, more than 200 objects have the status of monuments of federal significance and 551 objects are monuments of regional significance.
The Vologda Region is famous for its ancient cities and settlements, 13 of which are considered to be open air museums.
