The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
On preliminary data 21,000 tourists visited the official residence of Ded Moroz located in Veliky Ustyug (about 450 km northeast of Vologda, the capital of the Vologda Region).

The fairytale train of Ded Moroz will stop in Vologda on January 11.
The Ded Moroz Train is a winter wonderland where children and their parents gather to make memories they’ll treasure year after year. The railcars are decorated beautifully to celebrate the season.

The main magician of the country returned to his hometown in Veliky Ustyug after a New Year's tour of foreign countries. He visited Italy, France, Armenia and the Republic of Belarus.

Senegal became the largest consumer of Vologda’s ice cream in 2023.
In 2023, 139 tons of most delicious ice cream from the Vologda Region were exported to Senegal, a country in West Africa.
The traditional All-Russian New Year Tree of Wishes campaign is taking place at the country’s main Exposition. Representatives of ministries and agencies, politicians, heads of regions and other famous personalities fulfill children’s wishes.
