Ilya Krivogov, head of the Russian Monocity Development Fund and Oleg Kuvshinnikov, Vologda Oblast Governor signed a general agreement on Cherepovets development on August 31.
Entrepreneurs of the Vologda Region that are interested in establishment of investment and foreign economic cooperation with Chinese partners will be included into a Russian delegation to visit the China International Fair for Investment and Trade. The event is scheduled on September 6 - 12, 2015.
A press breakfast was held as part of a series of meetings of Vologda’s journalists with top leadership of the Vologda Oblast Government.
The meeting took place at Bryanchaninovs' country estate, a unique monument of history and culture of the Federal value.
To begin with, Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony of a plywood-producing plant Ustye-les that was indicated as a priority investment project in the Vologda Region. All the equipment installed at the plant is produced in Russia. The top leadership of the plant noted that the Vologda Region is the leader in the number of projects implemented in the timber industry. The region ranks first in the production of chipboard, it is the second largest producer of raw wood, and takes the third place in the production of plywood.
A greater number of tourists might flock to Veliky Ustyug (Vologda Oblast, Russia), where Russia’s equivalent of Santa Claus - Ded Moroz lives.
Mr. Kuvshinnikov came to the District of Vytegra, the oblast's biggest district in terms of total area, as part of a series of visits throughout the Vologda Oblast examining economic and social development of regions.
