UNESCO established 18 April as the International Day for Monuments and Sites in 1983. It aims to raise public awareness about the diversity and vulnerability of the world’s built monuments and heritage sites and the efforts required to protect and conserve them.
4th International conference on wooden house-building and wood-processing is being held in Cherepovets on April 13-14.
Two educational institutions of the Vologda Region entered top 200 schools of Russia on quality of training for entering the leading HEIs of Russia.
On June 2nd five sections of the international forum will start working. Guests to Vologda City, international and Russian experts, as well as residents of the regional capital will be able to get acquainted with projects pertaining to healthy food, sound body, eco-friendly products and green environment.
1,500 craftsmen from Russia, China, Iran and Slovenia applied to participate in the 3rd International festival in Vologda.
Lace works from private collections of German collectors of Annelise Wienands and Marianne Stang will form the basis of a new exhibition project "Ladies in Lace" that will open on April 13 and last till mid-November.
The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
The international conference “Wooden house-building and wood-processing” is to be held in the Vologda Region for the fourth time. A lot of exhibitors and visitors are expected to come to Cherepovets to attend the exhibition to see the variety of houses made of timber and logs and frame-panel houses.
The forum was held in Ružomberok, a town in northern Slovakia, in the historical Liptov region from March 30 throughout April 1.
