On April 5th Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov took part in a meeting of the Coordination Council of the Vologda branch of the all-Russian public organization "Russian Geographical Society”.

The Governor's International music competition is held in the Vologda Region every three years. The music competition is organized with an active backing of the Vologda Oblast Government. The main objective of the event is to reveal new talents and to perpetuate the memory of Valery Gavrilin.
IX All-Russian Belov Readings which are to be held in October 2022 will be devoted to 90th anniversary of the writer Vasily Belov.
The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
