Vologda City will celebrate its 875th birthday in June.
Vologda traditionally celebrates its founding during the last weekend in June. This year the city celebrates its 875th birthday. The city will celebrate its birthday for several days from June 20, but the most important events will take place on June 24-26.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov is to head the delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held on June 15-18.
The photo exhibition "My Athos" by Kostas Asimis at the Vologda Philharmonic Society will last till June 13. The Vologda Philharmonic Society opened the exhibition within the framework of the Festival of Orthodox Culture in memory of St. Ignatius Bryanchaninov.
Theaters from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Vologda and Kaluga applied for participation in XV International Drama Festival Voices of History.

The Victory Train, an immersive museum of the Great Patriotic War consisting of eight railcars, will arrive in Vologda and Cherepovets. This unique historical museum keeps the memory of those who defended our country during the Great Patriotic War.
