Ded Moroz set off on his traditional New Year trip on October 22. It will last till January 14. The main holiday-season miracle-maker plans to visit Russian cities and give long-awaited presents to children before New Year. Veliky Ustyug (Vologda Region) will be the last stop.

Upgrade of emergency medical car-fleet in Vologda Region.
On December 21st Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov handed over the keys of eighty two new emergency vehicles to districts of the Vologda Region.
The Pushkinskaya Karta project (Pushkin cards) which provides Vologda’s youth aged 14-22 with free access to museums, exhibitions and concerts started working on September 1, 2021.

The foreign trade turnover of the Vologda Region increased by 20%.
According to the North-Western Customs Administration, the Vologda Region has sold products at the sum of USD 6.6 bln.
The trade show “Ladya. Winter Fairy Tale 2022” was held from December 14 through 18 in Moscow. Ladya 2022 is the only specialized exhibition in Russia that represents Russian world-known centres of folk art.
Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov paid a working visit to the Vologda Region on December 16-17. He visited major enterprises of the region, met with representatives of the timber and tourism industries. According to the minister, the regional authorities provide great support to the business circles and the economic sector.
The implementation of the restoration works in Alchevsk of the Luhansk People's Republic was supervised by Mr. Kuvshinnikov.
