“Residents of Vologda City and athletes of the region have been waiting for a 25-meter swimming pool for a long time,” said Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov. “I am proud that we were able to implement the project in such a short time, it took eighteen months to put it into operation. The city is incredibly lucky to have a brand new swimming pool.”
At 6.30 pm, Oleg Kuvshinnikov will answer questions concerning novel coronavirus, efforts to combat the coronavirus and disease control measures amid novel coronavirus outbreak. The Governor will brief on new measures to support families in the Russian Federation, citizens who have lost their jobs, and small-businesses hurt by the coronavirus.
The International Museum Day is celebrated worldwide each year on or around 18 May. The traditional role of museums is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious and historical importance, preserve them, research into them and present them to the public for the purpose of education and enjoyment.
International Museum Day has been organised by ICOM (the International Council of Museums) since 1977. The objective is to raise awareness of the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.” Organised on and around 18 May each year, the events and activities planned to celebrate International Museum Day can last a day, a weekend or a whole week.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov inspected a construction site of a new fertility clinic in the Region. The construction started last year. The Vologda Region received finances from the federal budget for the development of the health care system within the framework of the national project “Healthcare”.
