A large-scale project "Winter of the Russian North" has been launched on the initiative of Governor Georgy Filimonov. It will unite all winter festivals in Vologda Region.

This year, the Ded Moroz Train set off for a New Year journey on November 19. The train will stop at Vologda, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Chita, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Moscow and St. Petersburg and other cities.
