In the run-up to the New Year, Ded Moroz is travelling across foreign countries. He started his pre-New Year journey on December 6. In total, the main winter wizard will visit 11 countries. He has already visited China, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Austria, and India. Armenia, Kazakhstan and Belarus are waiting for Ded Moroz' visit.
The New Year is celebrated in a special way, because every Russian city has its own traditions of celebrating. Vologda’s authorities planned a number of major festive actions and events in Vologda.

170 enterprises and companies of dairy, meat, confectionery, fish, vegetable production, handicrafts and other industries will present their products at the Russky Dom Exhibition Centre on December 20-22.
On December 18th, many of the region's museums and galleries offer free entry in order to have a more diverse range of visitors.
