Kirillov (Vologda Oblast) will play host to an international photo festival on June 7-10.

The international photo festival has been created by the Russian Photo Union. Its aim is to gather photographers from around the world, turning the town of Kirillov into an international centre of artistic expression focusing on photography. It will involve international artists from such countries as Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, the Chinese People’s Republic and Kazakhstan.

Кirillo-Belozersky Museum-Preserve throws open its doors for a summer tourist season.

The Кirillo-Belozersky Museum-Preserve opened a summer tourist season on Victory Day, May 9th. About 50 knowledgeable guides of the Кirillo-Belozersky Museum will conduct regular tours and show fantastic artefacts and environments at the Museum for guests from Germany, Vietnam, France, China, USA, Italy and Spain. The Museum will host groups of 600 ships during this summer season.

The Russian Seasons festival designed to introduce foreigners to Russian culture was held on March 6-7, 2019. The project was initiated by the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Russian Government.

Over 5000 Russian and foreign tourists travelled to Ferapontovo to admire the old architecture and wall painting of Ferapontov Monastery during New Year holidays.

The Ferapontov Monastery, a place of great historical significance, is among a small group of Russian cultural sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This honor was bestowed on the monastery primarily as recognition of the early 16th-century frescoes in the monastery's Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin. These paintings are considered among the greatest examples of medieval Russian art.

The first national voting “My Favourite Museum” was launched on “Culture.RF” portal on November 4, 2018 when the “Art Night” started. The voting went until November 26, 2018.
