Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov took part in the signing of agreements between business representatives of the Vologda Region and the People's Republic of China during the Days of the Vologda Region in China.
"There are about 2,500 cultural and historical heritage sites in the region, 189 specially protected natural areas, over 330 tourist routes have been created. However, the enormous tourist potential of the Vologda Region has yet to be revealed. We are open to cooperation with the leaders of the Chinese tourism industry and are ready to offer joint projects to attract tourists to the Vologda Region," said Georgy Filimonov, Governor of the Vologda Region.
Representatives of the Vologda Region Government delegation made presentations at the plenary session of the forum "Days of the Vologda Oblast in China".
On November 20th, many of the region's museums and galleries offer free entry in order to have a more diverse range of visitors.
"The Vologda Oblast is a region of opportunities for business, tourism and industrial growth. The region is the first in Europe in the production of phosphorus fertilizers, and every fourth wooden house in the country comes from Vologda’s factories," said Georgy Filimonov, Governor of the Vologda Region. The annual volume of industrial production is more than $15 billion.
