Russian steelmaker Severstal will be taking part in tomorrow’s Gastech Conference (21-23 September) 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE.

Severstal’s first international LNG project was Barcarena LNG in Brazil, which involves the construction of a floating regasification unit with a capacity of 15 million cubic metres per day. Severstal has already manufactured and supplied X65M steel pipes for this project. Between 2020 and 2021, the company has shipped around 110kt of rolled steel to LNG plants.

"There is growing interest from companies across the world in working with Severstal."

Dmitry Goroshkov, head of energy industry relations, Severstal

"Our current international supply network spans Europe, South and North America, the Middle East, and North Africa,” said Dimitry Goroshkov, head of energy industry relations, Severstal.

“The LNG sector is one of our main priorities. We aim to expand our supply in this area and become a reliable partner for international oil and gas companies implementing technologically challenging projects," Goroshkov added.

Another of Severstal's central priorities is providing state-of-the-art solutions tailored to the specific demands of its clients. For example, the company offers cryogenic solutions with its Cryonix line of products which includes fittings, flat-rolled steel, and flat-rolled steel products. The company also supplies high-end coil-wound heat exchangers, in partnership with the German company Linde, which are used in natural gas liquefaction.
