Segezha Group – at the Russian Forest exhibition in Vologda

In Vologda, as part of the business program of the XXVIII International Forum and Exhibition "Russian Forest", Segezha Group (MOEX: SGZH) presents the products of its woodworking enterprises: Sokolsky DOCK JSC and Sokol Realty LLC. The Russian Forest is one of the largest expert platforms for business and government representatives dedicated to the development of forestry and forestry in Russia. Here, the results of the forest industry's work over the previous year are summarized and strategies for its further development are discussed.
According to the Department of Forestry of the region, 83% of the territory of the Vologda region is occupied by forests. This is 11.7 million hectares or 1.6 billion m3 of wood. The region ranks 1st in terms of the intensity of timber harvesting in Russia. And the 3rd place is in terms of logging volumes (after the Irkutsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory). At the same time, the share of recycled wood is 76%. The Vologda region produces 6% of lumber, 8% of glued plywood, 9% of chipboard boards and 26% of factory wooden house kits produced in Russia.
Segezha Group is a traditional participant of the events. Samples of structural glued beams, pellets, CLT panels and glued timber house kits are on display at the stand.
This year, special attention is paid to the work of the forest nursery. It is managed by the LPC Kipelovo team. Its capacity reaches 4 million seedlings with a closed root system per year. This planting material is used for reforestation, including Vologda forests. Segezha Group reproduces forest plantations in 100% of the territories where logging was carried out. The Group's employees regularly carry out work on their reliable protection and protection.
For high school students and students at the stand, Segezha Group employees conduct an interactive, talk about the production of glued beams and houses from CLT. All visitors can take with them "as a souvenir" seedlings of decorative conifers from the nursery – Siberian or Korean cedar pine.
