October 2017

Moscow, October 11, 2017: Shvabe Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) has exported collimator and optical sights, including night sights, to Poland. This has been the tenth supply of sights to Polish partners this year.

As part of partnership which has existed since 2014, Shvabe Holding has supplied a batch of collimator and optical sights, including night sights, as well as sight brackets and lenses, to Warsaw. These are products for hunting and shooting sports. They will be presented by an authorized distributor in specialized stores in the capital and other cities of Poland.

“Our sights are very popular among hunters in this region. Today, Poland accounts for about 50% of all hunting products exported to the EU. In recent years, exports to Poland have been increasing steadily, due to which we expect a further increase in sales on the Polish market,” said Vasily Morozov, General Director of “Vologda optical and mechanical plant”, JSC (“VOMZ”), which is part of Shvabe.

As part of Shvabe, “VOMZ” is one of the leading manufacturers of sights. The multi-specialized engineering company also produces complex optoelectronic, thermal imaging products, and other optoelectronic devices for civilian purposes. Every year the plant’s products are shown at Russian and international exhibitions, and are exported to 21 country.

Shvabe Holding forms part of Rostec’s Radioelectronic Cluster. According to the Cluster’s strategy, by 2025, the share of civilian products in the total revenue is to exceed 60%, amounting to more than 1 trillion rubles.

The Cluster’s revenue will be increasing mainly due to active development of products in high-tech segments of civilian products such as telecommunication, complex systems, optical devices and medical equipment.
