The restoration of a historic windmill that was built by Russian settlers in the US in 1814 is coming to a close in the Vologda Region in northwestern Russia.
The unique windmill, which grinds grain on the basis of 200-year-old technology, will be delivered to Fort Ross State Historic Park in California.
Fort Ross, the hub of the southernmost Russian settlements in North America, was founded in 1812 by the Russian-American Company to promote fur trade.
This year this Russian cultural and historical landmark in the US marks its 200th anniversary.
