Russian ice cream from Vologda goes to China

Ten containers with ice cream and fruit sorbet will soon leave Vologda for China. The Chinese are fond of the Russian delicacy.
Last year, a few test batches were sent to China. Ice cream was found tasty and got quickly sold out. Then it was decided to establish regular supplies. 64 tons will be sent to China soon.
“The entire line of ice cream and fruit sorbet from Vologda will be represented in China,” said Yelena Yakovleva, CEO of the company-producer.
The dessert is packed into paper cups. Labels on them come in Chinese.
The plant has the most advanced equipment. Up to 30 tons of the sweet delicacy are produced a day; 1,500 servings of ice cream a minute.
To ensure uninterrupted supply of the product, the company built a new warehouse with an area of 720 square meters.
The enterprise produces 250 items of various goods. Last year, for example, it shipped the goods worth 7 billion rubles ($123.6 million). All raw materials are purchased from local farmers, so the quality of ice cream and sorbets is unquestionable.
According to the Federal Customs Service, last year ice cream exports grew up. 6.4 million tons were sent abroad. Experts attribute this to the high demand for the delicacy, especially in China. The army of buyers of Russian ice cream is constantly growing in the Celestial Empire.
