Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
The discussion focused on the economic situation in the region, specifically the development of industry and agriculture. The Governor also spoke about the implementation of the programme for public assessment of regional authorities. He said feedback from the region’s residents helps to improve the quality of administration and enhance its overall efficiency, to resolve human resources issues on a regional and municipal level and to create a personnel pool.
Mr Kuvshinnikov also requested that the President relieve him of his duties ahead of term, so that he can take part in the gubernatorial elections to be held in Vologda Region in September 2014.
