ECSEF at conference in Cherepovets

The ECSEF (Educational Cluster of South-East Finland) team has taken part at the IV International conference on wooden housebuilding and woodworking in Russia in the city of Cherepovets of the Vologda region.
The purpose of event was the strengthening of interregional and international relations in this branch, and also development of a competitive wooden housing product in the construction market of Russia.Hosts of event were: Government of the Vologda region, Department of economic development of the Vologda region, City administration of Cherepovets, Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization «Cherepovets investment agency», Non-profit-partnership «Agency of City Development», Non-Commercial Organisation «Association of wooden housebuilding of the Vologda region», DSR Ltd.
Within conference the work of a cluster of wooden housebuilding and woodworking of the Vologda region and establishing of “Science and technology park of high technologies in timber processing complex and branches of manufacturing industry in the city of Cherepovets” was discussed. Participants proposed some measures of federal and regional support of wooden housebuilding, discussed possibilities of implementation of new technologies and change in technical regulation, standardization and certification of production, and also the promoting measures.
The report of Mr. Alexander Tyurin, the expert of the Trade mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Finland, was devoted to the partnership between the Finland, one of the world leaders in the sphere of timber processing complex, and regions of Russia.
One of organizers of conference – DSR International Consulting Group – is the active member of educational cluster ECSEF. The representative of the company Mr. Grigory Dementiev has made the report «Development and maintenance of export of production of wooden housebuilding». The company has signed with the City administration of Cherepovets the protocol on intentions on foundation in industrial park of the large logistic center.
The report at the conferences was made by the ECSEF coordinator Mrs. Virve Obolgogiani. Among the presented services of a educational cluster the most demanded were products connected with biotechnologies, and also with the organisation of export and the international business.
Signing of the intercluster cooperation agreement in the sphere of scientific, technical and educational activity in woodworking branch became one of important results of conference. The main directions for further work will become: introduction of new educational programs in Russia and Finland, an exchange of practical experience in area of new technologies and training, assistance in implementation of the international projects with participation of the Russian and Finnish innovative companies.
