Chevakata are in the driving seat of their EuroCup Women Quarter-Final after winning the first leg of their tie at Arras on Thursday, 80-71.
The second leg will be played at Chevakata next week.
The visiting Russians trailed by as many as 13 points but fought back and moved in front, 51-50, with a 7-0 run late in the third quarter.
