Russian steel maker Severstal’s service metal center SMC Kolpino has started supplying parts for the production of wind turbine towers to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. The total volume of delivery will be about eight thousand tons. The parts will be used at the European division of the company for the production of wind turbines with delivery to the countries of Northern and Central Europe.

Russian steel giant Severstal has supplied large-diameter pipes for the construction of a stadium in the new capital of Egypt. Large diameter pipes were produced for Orascom Construction PLC. It is a leading global engineering and construction contractor focusing primarily on infrastructure, industrial and high-tech commercial projects in the Middle East, North Africa, USA and the Pacific for public and private clients. The group also develops and invests in infrastructure projects. LDP will be used as supports and vertical braces for the Olympic stadium.
