At the end of 2017 there appeared a new book by the American photographer and historian, William Brumfield, who is professor of Slavic Studies at Tulane University (New Orleans) and a specialist in the architecture of the Russian North. Entitled Cherepovets, the book is devoted to the architectural heritage of the Cherepovets region.

From 21st to 28th May 2016, 20 students from Germany, the Netherlands, Cameroon and Australia, as well as five professors from the Faculty of Life Sciences of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences participated in an excursion to Russia. The group visited the State Dairy Farming Academy in Vologda, a city located about 600 kilometres northwest of Moscow. The aim of this excursion was to strengthen cooperative ties to the partner university, as well as to obtain insights into the food industry, the higher education sector and Russian culture. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to visit the two cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
