XI International festival “City of Crafts”. Application deadline is May 16, 2025.

Vologda will become home to XI International Folk Crafts Festival "City of Crafts” on June 12-14, 2025. Applications for participation in the festival can be sent by May 16 at gorod_remesel@mail.ru.
This is an opportunity for craftsmen to share their experience, show their work and attract the younger generation to real craftsmanship.
XI International Festival of Folk Crafts "City of Crafts" is timed to coincide with Russia Day celebrated on June 12. This holiday is a symbol of national unity and common responsibility for present and future of our Motherland.
Applications from artisans are received in the following categories - traditional female crafts, wooden and birch bark craft painting, valenki (kind of felt boots), wood engraving and wicker-work, blacksmithing, potter's craft and forgotten handicrafts.
The program of the "City of Crafts" festival also includes a business forum, training seminars, meetings with craftsmen, an exhibition and sale of handicrafts, workshops and other events.
Last year, more than 800 adult craftsmen and 200 children from 40 regions of Russia and 5 foreign countries took part in the competition.
