X International Gavrilin Festival in Vologda will finish on November 28.

The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda. This year it is devoted to the 85th birthday anniversary of Valery Gavrilin.
The festival was first held in 1999, when Valery Gavrilin passed away. The festival was founded by the Vologda Region Government and the Department of Culture and Tourism. Since 2004, the festival has been given an international status. The main objective of the event is to reveal new talents and to perpetuate the memory of Valery Gavrilin.
In 2024 the event gathered musicians of different generations, genres and national schools. The festival gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the best Russian orchestras, music groups and artists. All the musicians perform the works of Valery Gavrilin.
