Vologda will host an international festival "Wood in Architecture" in July 2024.

An agreement on holding the International Festival "Wood in Architecture" in Vologda in July 2024 was signed within the framework of XXХI International Festival Zodchestvo 2023.
XXХI International Festival Zodchestvo 2023 was held at Gostiny Dvor, Moscow from October 31 until November 02, 2023. Russia. It showcased best achievements in architecture and urban planning and featured exhibits from cities, design institutes and other groups in the industry.
Young architects, design studios and bureaus, students of architectural faculties and universities, children's art and architecture groups took part in the competition program.
At the Festival in Moscow, the Vologda City Administration presented the wooden housing construction of the regional capital from the point of view of its history and future. There are more than 250 cultural heritage sites in Vologda, 112 of them are objects of wooden architecture with unique northern architecture.
Preparations for the festival have already begun in Vologda City.
