Vologda will host an international festival "Wood in Architecture" in 2024.

XXХI International Festival Zodchestvo 2023 is taking place at Gostiny Dvor, Moscow from October 31 until November 02, 2023. Russia. It showcases best achievements in architecture and urban planning and features exhibits from cities, design institutes and other groups in the industry.
Young architects, design studios and bureaus, students of architectural faculties and universities, children's art and architecture groups take part in the competition program. The international festival has an extensive business and exhibition programme this year.
At the Festival in Moscow, the Vologda City Administration presents the wooden housing construction of the regional capital from the point of view of its history and future. There are more than 250 cultural heritage sites in Vologda, 112 of them are objects of wooden architecture with unique northern architecture.
An agreement on holding the International Festival "Wood in Architecture" in Vologda in July 2024 was signed within the framework of the forum.
