Vologda will celebrate its 876th birthday with festivals, concerts and fireworks.

Vologda will celebrate its 876th birthday with festivals, concerts and fireworks.

Vologda traditionally celebrates its founding during the last weekend in June. This year the city celebrates its 876th birthday. The city will celebrate its birthday for 2 days from June 24.

There will be different events and activities including fairs, fashion shows, street entertainments, sports contests and live music concerts.

Kremlin Square will be the life and soul of the party.

The celebration will culminate in the evening with a firework display. On June 24th shimmering fireworks in the shape of peonies, chrysanthemums and other images will light up the night sky.
