Vologda’s experts are in Czech Republic on an official visit.

Vologda Oblast Government officials led by Deputy Governor Oleg Vasiliev arrived in Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic on an official visit. The main objective of the visit is to participate in an international conference “Healthy Cities”.
The Moravian-Silesian Region and the Vologda Oblast have been sustaining partnership ties since 2005 in such spheres as culture, economy, tourism, education, small- and medium-sized businesses, fair and exhibition activities, firefighting and rescue service. Tourism and interaction in medicine are other priority spheres of cooperation between the regions.
In October 2015 a delegation from the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic participated in the events arranged within the framework of a meeting of the Association of Healthy Cities, Districts and Villages, chaired by Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
At the international conference “Healthy Cities” in Ostrava Vologda’s experts met with their colleagues from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and other countries and shared lessons learned and best practices gained over recent years.
On a visit to Ostrava, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast Oleg Vasiliev met with Hetman of the Moravian-Silesian Region to discuss guidelines of further cooperation in such spheres as culture, tourism and health-saving technologies.
