Vologda Region to open a branch of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society.

A regional branch of the Society of Russian-Chinese Friendship will appear in the Vologda Region. Its opening is scheduled for February 19 at Cherepovets State University.
On February 19, Vologda will also host an opening of the first International Wushu Tournament between the teams of Russia and China. It will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China.
Athletes and martial artists from different regions of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China will perform at the Vologda Sports Palace. Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov proposed the idea of holding this competition during the Vologda Region Days in China.
"All the events will be held with the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry", said Mr. Filimonov.
