Vologda Region is stepping up cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Search for new markets, retail chains and distributors for Vologda’s enterprises was in the highlight at the meeting of the local business community with the trade representative of Russia in the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrei Babko.
The local Export Support Centre “My Business” organized the online business mission within the framework of the national project “Systemic Measures of International Cooperation and Export”.
It is worth noting that the leading enterprises of the Vologda Region have been sustaining partnership ties with Kazakh business circles for a long time.
The Vologda Region already supplies rolled steel and non-alloy steel wire, fertilizers, sawn timber, chipboard and fiberboard to Kazakhstan. However, companies of the Vologda Region are ready to explore new areas of cooperation.
Eleven enterprises from the Vologda Region held presentations at the online meeting. They are planning cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fields of aquaculture, food industry, mechanical engineering, production of equipment and houses.
“The parties might develop cooperation in food industry (confectionery, meat and fish industry products). There is an increased demand for mechanical engineering products, light industry products and ceramic goods in Kazakhstan. Companies producing goods for children can also boost partnership ties with Kazakhstan as in recent years we have seen a significant increase in the birth rate in the republic and a shortage of children's goods," summed up the trade representative Andrey Babko.
