Vologda Region increased timber exports to Chinese People’s Republic.

In January 2024, 78,7 thousand cubic meters of timber and lumber of deciduous and coniferous species were exported to China from the Vologda Region.
All products passed the necessary control and fully complied with the phytosanitary requirements of the importing country.
In January 2023, 61.3 thousand cubic meters of timber and sawn timber were exported from the Vologda Region to China. And in January 2022, the volume of exports to this country amounted to 22 thousand cubic meters.
In January 2024, Vologda’s timber producers also exported timber to Korea (4.100 cu m), India (3.500 cu m), Iraq (3.200 cu m) and Turkey (3,000 cu m). In total, 96.700 cubic meters of timber were exported to 18 countries.
