Vologda Oblast continues its cooperation with the Chinese People’s Republic.

The delegation from China visited the Vologda Region as part of a new itinerary.
The experts of the tourist information activity office of the Vologda Oblast in Moscow together with colleagues of one of the leading tourist companies of China developed a new tourist itinerary under the heading "Four capitals of Russia” which includes Moscow, Veliky Ustyug, Tot’ma, Vologda and St. Petersburg.
The new route will give an idea about the cultural traditions and the lifestyle of the Central Russia and the Russian North. The tour starts with the capital of Russia – Moscow, with the usual rhythm of a mega city.
Then the guests to Russia will move to Veliky Ustyug, one of the ancient Russian cities with white stone cathedrals, belfries and mansions. It is the hometown of Ded Moroz, Russia’s equivalent of Santa Claus.
Tot’ma, the next destination point is the story of many exceptional people. Outstanding navigators and explorers of Siberia and the Far East come from Tot’ma.
After that, the travelers will see the sight of Vologda, the New Year capital of Russia’s North. The peculiarity of the Vologda Oblast consists in the vicinity of the wildlife which is unique in its beauty, with the ancient monuments of history and architecture. The impressive architectural structures strike you by the way they fit organically in the surrounding northern landscape. Here you can step back in time to an era that exemplified grace and tranquility. The region is famous for the number and significance of monuments of architecture and archeology, museums and libraries, all the diversity of handicraft products.
