Vologda Oblast and Switzerland to strengthen partnership ties.

Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov met with Mr. Filippo Lombardi, co-chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Russia-Switzerland at Swiss Federal Parliament who led a Swiss delegation to Moscow.
During the meeting, Mr. Filippo Lombardi stressed that Switzerland views the Vologda Region as an important partner and noted the well-established cultural and economic dialogue between the Vologda Region and Switzerland.
Yuri Vorobyov and Filippo Lombardi also discussed Russia’s regions and Swiss cantons cooperation. They touched upon a memorandum of understanding between several Russian regions and the Canton of Ticino that would facilitate further development of Russia-Switzerland relations.
