Vologda lace will be on display in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 2016.

A cooperation agreement was signed between the Vologda Lace Museum and the National Museum of Liechtenstein. The parties agreed on cooperation in various areas of museum activity, including exhibition, scientific, methodical, information, and publishing.
The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Vologda Oblast Government and the RF Embassy in Switzerland started cooperation in the cultural sphere in 2011. The then Vologda Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Pozgalyov as a member of the Russian delegation took part in the Festival of Russian Culture in Lausanne in February 2011. This exhibition opened a Year of Russia in Switzerland and was a success. During this time a number of joint international cultural projects were implemented.
According to head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Vologda Oblast Vladimir Osipovsky, the main purpose of the exhibition is to promote brand of the Vologda Region in the European countries, to strengthen cultural ties between the Vologda Oblast and Switzerland and set up a partnership that will last.
