Vologda enters top ten cities of Russia for trips in wintertime.

Vologda City has made the top 10 list of Russia's most popular destinations in winter, according to a study conducted by e-service for searching hotels RoomGuru.ru.

The study, which searched for the most popular and affordable options for tourists, compiled its results based on the number of hotel reservations between December 31 and January 8.

The top ten of the rating includes such Russian most popular cities as Sochi, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl and Pskov.

Vologda, New Year Capital of Russia’s North during New Year holidays has much to offer the discerning visitor. Vologda has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the city, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
