Vologda enters top fifteen most popular tourist destinations in Russia.

Vologda City has made the top 15 list of Russia's most popular destinations according to a study conducted by TourStat agency.

The study, which searched for the most popular and affordable options for tourists, compiled its results based on the number of hotel reservations between April 29 and May10.

The top fifteen of the rating includes such Russian most popular cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladivostok, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Nizhni Novgorod, Sergiev Posad and Suzdal.

These popular Russian destinations are enjoying an increase in tourists from Russian regions and abroad.

Vologda has much to offer the discerning visitor. Vologda has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the city, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
