Vologda enters top fifteen cities of Russia for trips in 2017.

The city of Vologda takes eleventh place in the list of Russia's most popular destinations in 2017, according to a study conducted by e-service for searching hotels RoomGuru.ru.

The study, which searched for the most popular and affordable options for tourists, compiled its results based on the number of hotel reservations between March 1 and August 31.

The top fifteen of the rating includes such Russian most popular cities as St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, Krasnodar, Yaroslavl, Pskov, Veliky Novgorod and Kostroma.

Vologda has much to offer the discerning visitor. Vologda has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the city, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
