President of Poland awarded Severstal Distribution as the best employee-friendly company.

On April 20th Polish President Andrzej Duda awarded Severstal Distribution (part of Severstal Russian Steel) as an employee-friendly company in his residence in Warsaw.
The 8th national Employee-Friendly Employer Contest in Poland was organised by Poland’s largest trade union “Solidarity”, it is supported by the President of Poland.
The contest aims to improve a dialogue between employers and employees and support rights of employees. The contest promotes businesses that are leaders in compliance with the labor law: create stable jobs, apply best safety practices, respect the right of employees.
Head of the Distribution Network Andrey Alexeyev noted: “Severstal Distribution was awarded with the Employee-Friendly certificate because of our good business traditions and best practices of successful social dialogue. Employees’ safety is our top priority. We work closely with trade unions whose proposals are always taken into consideration.”
