Photo exhibition "My Athos" by Kostas Asimis (Greece) continues through June 13.

The photo exhibition "My Athos" by Kostas Asimis at the Vologda Philharmonic Society will last till June 13. The Vologda Philharmonic Society opened the exhibition within the framework of the Festival of Orthodox Culture in memory of St. Ignatius Bryanchaninov.
The authors presents the past and present of the Holy Mountain and its twenty monasteries. For the first time Kostas Asimis came to Holy Mount Athos in 1984.
There are photographs depicting unique holy places and a monastic life of Mount Athos. These are moments of festive divine services, and everyday work in Athos monasteries and its picturesque nature. Portraits of the Athonite elders and monks are the core of the exhibition.
Exhibitions by Kostas Asimis were a success in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, France, Great Britain, as well as in Russian cities: Moscow, Kostroma, Bryansk, Voronezh, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Novorossiysk, Stavropol, Krasnodar, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Tula, Saratov, Cherkessk. In 2021, his works were exhibited in Cherepovets.
