New Year and Christmas festivities in Vologda Region are in full swing.

The annual "Winter of the Russian North" festival brings a rich program of festive events and concerts from late December through mid-January, featuring themed activities and New Year's celebrations.
“Winter of the Russian North” is a project that turns the Vologda Region into a living fairy tale. The season will unfold in concerts, fairs, skating rinks, children's performances, folk dances, markets, interactive excursions and open-air festivals.
The celebrations will take place from December 27, 2025 through January 11, 2026.
It is expected that the Vologda Region will become a magnet for tourists from all over Russia, drawing attention to its traditions, sights and cultural events.
