Navigation season in Vologda Region is coming to an end.

The navigation season on the rivers and lakes of the Vologda Region will officially close on October 15.
Different vessels conducted more than 840 voyages into and out of the Vologda Oblast bringing 129 644 visitors to the region.
In 2017, there was an increase in the number of vessel voyages compared with the year 2016 (by 17%). The number of tourists who arrived in the Vologda Region increased by 7.6%. More than half of the tourists arrived from Finland, France, Germany, China, Belarus and other countries. This continues the trend from previous years, which also saw a strong preponderance of vessels bringing foreign tourists.
The Vologda Region has much to offer the discerning visitor. It has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the region, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential. Numerous lakes, islands, steep slopes of lake basins, covered with forest, forest lakes - all these in combination with hilly relief make the area wonderful.
