Maslenitsa Week is in full swing: festive events in the Vologda Region.

Maslenitsa Week events continues with a series of exciting gastronomic performances and folk festivities.
From February 16 to February 22, the cities and towns of the Vologda Region host the Maslenitsa festival as a part of the Winter in the Russian North project.
The visitors have a chance to take part in cooking and art master classes, sports competitions, interactive events and enjoy music concerts and stage performances.
Festival venues are decorated in Russian folk style. During the Maslenitsa Festival guests are able to taste different types of pancakes made of natural Vologda products with various fillings - jam, sour cream, berries, tvorog curd and honey.
The guests will be told about the rich ancient Slavic traditions celebrating Maslenitsa.
