Japanese entrepreneurs visited Soldek, a wood-sawing company in Sokol, Vologda Region.

Representatives of thirty one leading Japanese wood-processing and construction companies visited Soldek, a wood-sawing company in Sokol that exports about 75% of its total production to Japan.
Soldek specializes in production and distribution of softwood goods (pine, spruce) such as eurolining, block house, flooring board, squared beam (imitation), sawn board and wood chips. Soldek is one of the leading wood processing companies in the Vologda Region with roots stretching back to 1899. Its main markets are Japan, USA and Australia.
As part of the business mission, Japanese representatives will hold a series of meetings with industry-specific associations and traders, and visit manufacturing enterprises.
The top leadership of Tairiku - Trading Co. Ltd. noted that Japan hopes to strengthen mutually beneficial partnership in the field of the timber industry with the Vologda Region. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of specification and requirements for products imported into Japan.
