IV Orthodox Cuisine Festival is to be held in Vologda.

IV Orthodox Cuisine Festival will take place in the Spaso-Prilutsky Monastery on June 7.
The festival is organised by the Vologda Archdiocese and Vologda City Administration. The initiative of the festival belongs to the head of the Vologda Archdiocese, Metropolitan Savva of Vologda and Kirillov.
Whether you’re a longtime lover of monastery cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore its delights, this festival promises something for everyone.
Featured on the menu are classic monastery favorites. Tasting of national Orthodox cuisine from famous restaurants of the city will be held within the framework of the festival. Participants of lean cuisine contest will compete in three categories: "Ancient recipes of Vologda cuisine", "Best seafood dish" and "Baked goods".
But the Orthodox Cuisine Festival isn’t just about the food. It’s a celebration of Orthodox culture and tradition. Throughout the festival, one can attend an orthodox conference, visit a prayer service in the Spaso-Prilutsky Monastery, master classes, theatrical performances and a concert program. This year, the project has received the status of an educational project, as lectures will be held within the framework of the festival.
The project is implemented with the support of the Vologda City Administration as part of the Summer of the Russian North project initiated by Governor Georgy Filimonov.
