Investment potential of Cherepovets City was presented to Finnish entrepreneurs.

A delegation from Cherepovets City led by Mayor Yuri Kuzin arrived in Finland on a working visit.
The main objective of the visit is to discuss Russian-Finnish partnership ties and present investment potential of Cherepovets City. Taking part in the visit events are high-ranking officials of Cherepovets City Hall, representatives of the Cherepovets Investment Agency and entrepreneurs.
On a visit to Finland, the delegation from Cherepovets is to participate in round-table discussions, workshops and B2B meetings with representatives of Finnish companies in three Finnish cities – Helsinki, Joensuu and Raahe.
During the first day of the visit Cherepovets’ experts held negotiations with Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc., that specializes in Arctic shipbuilding technology, building icebreakers and other Arctic offshore and special vessels. It also unites the marine industry clusters of Russia and Finland. In the course of negotiations the parties discussed cooperation between PAO Severstal and Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc. The Finnish businessmen were also interested in collaboration with Cherepovets the machine-building and metal-working enterprises, in supply of components for ships.
Cherepovets boasts an advantageous geographical location, a favourable investment climate, significant export potential and its highly skilled staff.
The members of the delegation from Cherepovets will enjoy an intensive programme - presentations of the leading enterprises of the region, a meeting at the RF trade representation in Finland, visits to leading enterprises in Raahe and an industrial park in Joensuu.
Lessons learned, best practices, and techniques gained from Finnish experiences will be used by Russians participants when creating an industrial park in Cherepovets.
